Out on DVD today in the U.S. is Absentia. I hadn't heard of it, anyone catch this one yet???
Tricia (Courtney Bell) has waited for nearly seven years to have her missing husband declared legally dead, and just as this ruling is about to be made, her sister Callie (Katie Parker) discovers that an ominous tunnel near Tricia's house might very well be a portal to a supernatural world that might be responsible for the husband's disappearance. Now the sisters must prepare, as they appear to be next in line.

Re: Absentia - Any Reviews?
From the trailer it kinda/sorta looks like a first time attempt. Im gonna look at it now.
Re: Absentia - Any Reviews?
The trailer did look quite a bit more low-budgeted than I was expecting, but the plot sounded interesting though.
Re: Absentia - Any Reviews?
LOW budget. Well done, well acted by unknowns. NOT an original story. Its kind of a modification of the excellent 2002 horror flick, THEY. Not worth paying for in movies. Some wont like it. Its moody but not much efx, not much monster, its all a story. I found it entertaining just nothing spectacular.
Re: Absentia - Any Reviews?
DID like that the people looked like everyday peeps.
Re: Absentia - Any Reviews?
Sounds like an "if there's absolutely nothing else on" option for me.
Re: Absentia - Any Reviews?
just watched this today and absolutely loved it. great story the whole movie, kept you guessing what really happened to those people in that tunnel, was there really some kind of sinkhole that people just disappeared like the bermuda triangle, definetely a 5 star movie.
