I know he's not a 'Horror' author really, but he does infuse a lot of dark themes and imagry into his writing. What do you think, does Neil Gaiman hold a place in the Horror community? I would like to hear your thoughts on this subject.

I've only read some of his short stories years ago. I honestly cannot remember his stories specifically, but what I do remember is that I thought that he was more like a fantasy writer that horror. I'd have to re-read some again.

Yes, I know Neil Gaiman is considered more of a fantasy writer than an author of horror. However, many of his books draw on themes such as Death, Loss, Terror, Ghosts and The Undead. Books such as Coraline and The Graveyard Book are rife with these themes. He is also the author behind The Sandman comics/graphic novels, which have achieved a sort of status is certain communities. My question is more of how do you think he ties into the dark comunity and horror community? I would love to hear your thoughts. He is personally one of my favorite authors and you really should try reading some of his novels. They're great.

HAHa! You guys are halarious! Anyway, I love Neil Gaiman, I think he totally has a touch of horror in his stories. Watch Coraline in the dark by yourself! I can't. The book was even freakier though.
