I think they do such a terrific job at building characters and an arc that I would say there was enough the first season. This season I'm afraid they are minimzing action relying on the good acting and story plot. This reliance could be disappointing for gore fans as well as for action fans. But they have found ways to not totally lose the cool aspect of zombie gunslaying. Though I am a fan of the series and would love to see more action but in all fairness they never promoted the series as an action series. They always said it was a drama set in a zombie apocalypse. And kudos on the great actors. The script gets weak at times but who doesn't love Daryl!?
Re: Does The Walking Dead have enough action? Enough gore?
There is enough gore. This last episode was just a little dry when it came to the action. And the script??? no sir there are alot of innaccuraceys. Just ask HF.
I notice this last episode (SPOILER) they were feeding the walkers in the barn some chicjens. Correct me if im wrong but i thought zombies did not eat animals. I thought they only had cravings for human flesh?
Re: Does The Walking Dead have enough action? Enough gore?
They are also trying to walk a fine balance and keep us horror heads interested while GENTLY getting fascinating and pulling in the everyday non horror fan so its best to cut them some slack. Its still better than a lot of second rate zombie flicks and even, when its cooking, better than FIRST rate zombie flicks.
Re: Does The Walking Dead have enough action? Enough gore?
yeah, the drama is a bit long winded at certain moments, but it's still ok. and my sweet "andrea" had to go & jump all over that undeserving, cowardly bastare...a few rounds fired & wham! car goes, 'screeeech', & ole mofo says, 'c'mone then...'...
my poor andrea...U WHORE!!
Re: Does The Walking Dead have enough action? Enough gore?
At times I thought it had dragged on a bit in the show; butI think that The Walking Dead is beautifully crafted... The show is trying depict what it would be like if there were zombies and our reaction as human beings.
And I must also add, Daryll is most certainly my favourite character! I almost lost it in the episode he passes out and finds the zombie at his feet...
Does The Walking Dead have enough action? Enough gore?
It doesn't! At first, it seemed like there'd be a lot of zombie killing, but now they are focusing on the crazy stuff that are happening to the characters... making it kinda 'dull'...
And I thought zombies DID NOT eat animals!!!! wtf
