'Twilight' DVD and Blu-Ray Release Details!

Looks like begging and pleading to stay up past their bedtime will take on a whole new meaning for vampire-lovin’ tweens this March. We’ve just received an official press release giving us the details on the DVD release of Twilight and apparently a Saturday, March 21st street date was selected to encourage midnight parties across the nation! Holy pajama bottoms! According to the press release, the DVD will be available in a two-disc special edition with tons of extras. The standard definition disk is set to retail for $32.99 while the Blu-Ray version is priced at $34.99.

As you’re well aware by now, Twilight is the story of Bella (Kristen Stewart), a normal high-school girl who develops a major love interest in Edward (Robert Pattinson), a not-so-normal, and undead, high-school boy. Vampire madness ensues as Edward tries to fight his mutual lust for Bella, rival vampire factions and the hunger to sprits and tease his bouffantiful hair… Hit the jump for special features!
