'Twlight' Chomps at DVD Release Bit!
We wouldn’t normally report on the success of a DVD release, but since you’re probably knee deep in fake vampire blood and Robert Pattinson’s luscious locks we decided to hit you with Twilight's weekend numbers. Summit Entertainment is reporting that you pseudo “fang bangers” accounted for the sale of 3 million Twilight DVDs! What recession? For the other 297 million people who have not yet purchased the DVD, they are currently leaving their foreclosed homes and walking to the local soup kitchen for a Twilight DVD rather than the chowder.
The Twilight DVD hit stores on Saturday, March 21st--swimming against the Tuesday DVD release current--and spawned a nation of DVD buying parties at midnight. And It doesn't end here. November 20th 2009 will see the release of New Moon while June 30, 2010 brings us Eclipse. Your move stimulus package…
