I knew the album art for LORDI's forthcoming release Babez for Breakfast was coming soon, and I knew their approach to this album was going to be a bit different, but didn't know it would be quite this... uh... unsettling. But it's here as promised, and you can see it below the jump. The Finnish rock monsters have also announced a new iPhone game to be released soon, and we've got details on that too... so get ready for maximum weirdage!

LORDI

I'll say this much, the artwork for Babez, as revealed last night on Blabbermouth, does capture that '80s underground metal vibe, which should fall right in line with frontman Mr. Lordi's approach to the new material – in his words "a lot less sinister and serious" than their 2008 release Deadache. At least you'll be mentally prepared in advance for the album's debut on September 14th. You're welcome.

Moving on to the iPhone game – oddly enough entitled LORDI: The Game – which lets you step into the mighty platform boots of Mr. Lordi, taking up his infamous axe to battle undead hordes and other monstrosities in various creepy locations over six levels, each with difficulty stages that allow the player to unlock exclusive images of band members when completed. The game features new Lordi tunes like This is Heavy Metal (the first Babez single) and I Am Bigger Than You, with additional voice contributions from the band leader.

"This is LORDI's life," he says, describing the game scenario... "a continuous battle from day to day."
