Though the films playing in South by Southwest's Midnight series won't be announced until next week, we just received word of the genre titles included in the main lineup for this year's Austin-based film conference and festival. Check 'em out after the jump.
First, some stats: over course of nine days, 130 features will be screened at South by Southwest 2011. According to the event's press release, the program "consists of 60 World Premieres, 12 North American Premieres and 16 U.S. Premieres. These films were selected from a record 1,792 feature-length film submissions composed of 1,323 U.S. and 469 international feature-length films."
This year's event includes the thrillers 96 Minutes, directed by Aimée Lagos, and Better This World (directed by Katie Galloway and Kelly Duane de la Vega), as well as Takashi Miike's 13 Assassins; also featured will be the previously announced opening night film Source Code (Duncan Jones' follow-up to Moon), the sci-fi comedy Paul, James Gunn's dark superhero comedy Super, and Ti West's latest, The Innkeepers (pictured above).
