Last Friday was the second annual Tweet Like a Zombie Day, as well as the 71st birthday of maestro of the undead George A. Romero.
Now that the dust has settled and we've had a few days to get all the #brrraaaaaaaaiiiiinssss out of our system, we've looked back over the Tweeting hordes to pick out a few our favorites. Did yours make the cut? Find out after the jump.
First, let's get a few ringers out of the way. This bit of undead doggerel was courtesy of horror director and FEARnet blogger Eric Stanze:
And our friends at sister networks G4 and Versus supplied these:
Some of you authored miniature zombie fables, in 140 characters or less:
Many of you shared the wisdom of the walking dead:
And then, of course, there were the zombie jokes. @lunarainbow's was among the most retweeted of the day.
And while we appreciate the Zombie Pride demonstrated in this next one, we have one small (human) bone to pick: nobody in Shaun of the Dead was an American, undead or otherwise, so don't boycott poor @edgarwright!
Finally, we leave you a "look on the bright side" observation:
Hope you had as much fun with #tweetlikeazombie day as we did. Same time next year?
