If you've been jonesing to see John Carpenter's latest then we have some good news for you this morning. It was announced over the weekend that ARC Entertainment has picked up US distribution to John Carpenter's The Ward starring Amber Heard (Drive Angry 3D) and Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th). ARC Entertainment in collaboration with Barry Gordon's XLrator Media have partnered to acquire the U.S. distribution rights to John Carpenter’s The Ward. Read Scott Weinberg's review for The Ward from TIFF 2010.
Amber Heard (Drive Angry 3D, Zombieland), Mamie Gummer (“Off the Map”), Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th, The Crazies), Lyndsy Fonseca (“Nikita,” Kick-Ass) and Jared Harris (“Mad Men”) star in the acclaimed director’s psychological thriller which is set in a 1960s mental institution that becomes terrorized by malevolent unseen forces. Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding and Mike Marcus of Echo Lake Entertainment along with Peter Block of A Bigger Boat produced the film. International sales were handled by Glen Basner’s FilmNation Entertainment.
