At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, we met comic creator Chris Moreno, whose Zombie Dickheads ARE Not Coming to Get You is about a pack of hipster zombies trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world while refusing to eat human flesh. The book is due is out next month, and we just received some more details about it, as well as the full cover art. Check them out after the jump.

Here's the official press release for the book...

"Zombie Dickheads is a comedic look at the undead apocalypse from the zombies point-of-view. It follows four dysfunctional zombies who don't eat human flesh, as they attempt to find a place of their own in a world where they don't fit in amongst other zombies, humans, and each other.

"'They're total jerks,' says Moreno, of the title characters. 'Imagine the idiots who get everyone killed in zombie movies the day after they come back from the dead, and now they have to stick together. I've heard them referred to as "hipster zombies", since they have a sort of "been there, done that" attitude to the whole zombie thing. In a way, they're sort of commentators on the whole zombie invasion of pop culture.'

"Zombie Dickheads Are NOT Coming to Get You, a 48-page zombie horror comedy comic book, story, art & letters by Chris Moreno, will debut in October, available for sale at Chris' convention appearances, beginning with the Nashville Horror and Comics Fest, Oct. 1 and 2,  as well as on the book's website, http://www.zombiedickheads.com/. A PDF of the first 8 pages is also available on the site.

"Chris Moreno has worked for over 10 years in comics on titles such as Disney's Toy Story for BOOM! Studios, and World War Hulk: Front Line for Marvel Comics. His horror titles include Motel HELL for IDW, Minions of Ka for Arcana, and Dracula vs. King Arthur for Silent Devil Productions. He has also created storyboards and concept art for advertising, film and television. Zombie Dickheads marks the creator's first book that has been fully produced on his own."
