Exclusive: Director Ben Rock’s 'Mile 15'

Phobia Friday: Arachnephobia or Arachnophobia- Fear of spiders.

We caught up with Alien Raiders Director Ben Rock at the Reaper Awards and talked about his new genre project, Mile 15.

FEARnet: Can you talk about any genre projects you’re working on?

Ben Rock: Right now, I’m working on a script with a writer called Mile 15.  It’s called Mile 15 and it’s a father with a 10 month old baby on a bypath being chased by a serial killer in a car.  It’s all action, very little dialogue.  Very stripped down…

In real life, what’s your greatest fear?

My greatest fear would probably be spiders.  I’m not into the spiders.  When I was in college, I had a pet scorpion.  My roommate had a pet tarantula.  I could hold the scorpion all fucking day long and one time he put the tarantula on me and it started crawling up my arm , the hair just stood up on the back of my neck.  I can’t deal with the spiders. It’s totally irrational.

So no Tarantula remake for you then?

Maybe it would be good if I did do a Tarantula remake!

It could be therapeutic.  Thanks!
