American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has just confirmed a fourth actor has signed on for season three of the anthology show: Lily Rabe. This will mark Rabe's third season with the show: in season one she had a small part as the ghost of the home's original owner, and in season two, she played a nun possessed by a demon. She joins previously announced cast members Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulsen, all of whom have also been with the show since season one. In addition, Taissa Farmiga is said to be in talks to return to the third season. She played the troubled teen daughter in season one but did not appear in season two.
Plot details are being kept strictly under wraps, but Murphy has said that it will be set in modern times, yet with a historical slant, and a focus on horror romance.
