Blutengel Premiere Latest Vampire Mini-Opera

Early this year we shared the lush, stylish and sexy video for "Reich mir die Hand" by German gothic dance-pop unit Blutengel – a project which the band described as a club-friendly vampiric "mini-opera." Continuing further down the same dark path, their latest video creation "Nachtbringer" tells a much gloomier but no less beautiful fantasy involving a captive bloodsucker. Founded in the late '90s by Chris Pohl, Blutengel has six full-length studio albums out, including their latest release Tränenherz (roughly translated: "Tears of the Heart"). Their videos have become increasingly elaborate over the years, with their 2011 productions among their most impressive ever. Produced and directed by creative team Golomedia, "Nachtbringer," which promotes Blutengel's new EP of the same name, is another example of the band's refined sense of gothic style and moody storytelling... it doesn't matter whether you understand the German lyrics, because the visuals provide everything you need to enjoy this tragic supernatural tale.
