Though it has not officially been picked up for an eighth season, Supernatural is getting ready, just in case. Sera Gamble will be stepping down as showrunner at the end of the season, and a familiar face will take her place. We'll tell you after the jump.
Jeremy Carver, who started with Supernatural in 2007 as a story editor will return for season eight (assuming there is a season eight - and all signs seem to point to yes) as the new showrunner. Carver left Supernatural in 2010 to focus on adapting the BBC's Being Human for Syfy Channel with his wife, Anna Fricke. After two seasons on Being Human, Carver will be leaving the show in Fricke's capable hands.
