We're not ones to toot our own horns...heck, who are we kidding, we love to toot, and today we've got something huge to toot about: a new original online series with a killer cast. Fear Clinic stars horror legend Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger) as Dr. Andover, a maniacal genius whose experimental techniques for curing extreme phobias are probably not covered by your HMO.
But why stop at just one horror icon? Alongside Englund are Kane Hodder – who gave us plenty to fear as Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th franchise – and Danielle Harris, who faced her fear of Michael Myers recently in Rob Zombie's Halloween and forthcoming Halloween II, and back in the ‘80s in Halloween 4 and 5.
Are you with us? Did you see what we did there?
We got the guys who played Freddy and Jason and threw them in with a gal who's made a habit of facing down Michael Myers. You’re welcome.
Running this squad of horror all-stars and directing the series is Robert Hall (Laid to Rest), with effects from his company Almost Human (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Quarantine, Pineapple Express).
We’ve spent some time on the set with Robert E. and Robert H., along with producer Bobbie Sue Luther and some other great folks we can’t tell you about yet. It’s hard, nay impossible to be objective on this one, so I’ll try to curb my enthusiasm and simply promise you that Fear Clinic will be like no other web series you’ve ever seen. And be totally awesome. (Oops, so much for that promise.)
Check back here in the coming weeks for much, much more on this five-part series. You can look forward to seeing it free online and on our VOD channel this October.
