Are you a Norma or a Norman? Hopefully that isn't too tough of a question because this week at comic con, that little N could make a world of difference if you need to go to the bathroom at San Diego Comic-Con 2013.
A&E's Bates Motel is all about family. So it is no surprise that the show's executive producer, Carlton Cuse, promises we will meet more members of Norma and Norman's screwed-up family.
"We would be remiss if we didn't meet some other members of the Bates family," Cuse told TV Guide. "I don't want to say who, but we are definitely going to learn about their family tree, which has more twisty branches." As we learned in the season finale, Norma comes from deep dysfunction: a violent, alcoholic father, a mysteriously absent (perhaps mentally ill) mother, and a brother who raped her throughout her childhood. Doesn't get much twistier than that. Cuse also promises that Norma will find romance next year, with "someone we haven't yet met." We will also learn about Sheriff Romero's "home life," and more about Dylan's father.
Bates Motel returns to A&E next January.
