And the saga of Ghostbusters 3 continues... First a brief recap -- when we last heard from Dan Aykroyd regarding the third Ghostbusters film, he stated that Bill Murray would no longer be involved in the project, and that it was moving forward without Murray's involvement. Then Murray appeared on David Letterman and indicated he was not completely finished with busting, commenting "“You just have to have a really good script, you know, it’s hard. I think, you know, we’ll try again.” Now Aykroyd has confirmed that they are, in fact, trying again, with new writers taking a stab at the script.
WIVB News in Amherst, has the scoop: "Actor Dan Aykroyd greeted fans and signed autographs at Premier Wine and Spirits on Maple Road Saturday afternoon. The Blues Brothers star is promoting his award winning Crystal Head Vodka. While there, Aykroyd also answered our questions about plans for the highly anticipated third installment of Ghostbusters."
"'We've got a new writing staff working on it now,' Aykroyd said. 'It's got to be prefect. That's the whole thing. There's no point in doing it unless it's perfect. So that's what we're up to now.'"
