David Lynch Directing Nine Inch Nails 'Came Back Haunted' Video

While we're still reeling from the news that Nine Inch Nails' new album Hesitation Marks is coming this September, band founder Trent Reznor reveals even more stunning news.

After he teased fans with this image on his Twitter feed yesterday showing him posing artfully with director David Lynch (captioned with the initials “tr;dl” in a riff on Internet shorthand for “too long; didn't read”),  Pitchfork has confirmed that the cult director will direct the video for Nine Inch Nails' new single “Came Back Haunted,” which you can listen to below:
 
 
This marks the first time the two artists have collaborated since Lynch's 1997 art-horror epic Lost Highway, on which Reznor served as music supervisor and sound designer, and contributed the single “The Perfect Drug.” Here's the awesome video for that one:
 
 
Hesitation Marks drops on September 3rd from Columbia Records, and in the meantime be on the lookout for the new video...
