Final Wave of Films for Toronto's After Dark Film Fest

Toronto's After Dark Film Festival just announced the final 10 features to screen at the festival, taking place the week before Halloween. Some are "old favorites" on the festival circuit; some are making their world premieres there. Check out the list after the break.

Not one but three films will have their world premieres at TADFF 2011: War of the Dead, which combines two of my favorite on-screen things, zombies and nazis; and Vs, which stars James Remar as a super-villain who forces "costumed crusaders into playing a series of impossible-to-win games where the penalty for losing is death. These two join the previously announced world premiere of Father's Day.

Also freshly added to the lineup include Midnight Son, about a man's descent into vampirism; Manborg, a wacky homage to films like Robocop and Terminator; Some Guy Who Kills People, a pitch-black serial killer comedy of horrors; A Lonely Place to Die, a "mountain climbing thriller;" and supernatural horror Absentia.
