FOX is Banking on Some Real 'Bitches'

Ever watch that show Girlfriends on the CW?  Did you ever wish that all four of those girls were werewolves?  No, I’m not kidding.  Fox is developing a werewolf-based, independent-women-in-the-city dramedy entitled Bitches to possibly air next year according to The Hollywood Reporter.  I’m not so sure about this but with werewolves seemingly becoming the new vampires next year with vampire/werewolf hybrids Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and New Moon on their way as well as the Benicio Del Toro starrer The Wolf Man, it looks like networks will try and roll with the trends.  HBO did last year by picking up True Blood – and look how that worked out:  two Golden Globe nominations and a two season renewal.  The series will also employ the talents of writer Michael Dougherty (Trick R’ Treat, Superman Returns).  So at least with a seasoned veteran on the project, the horror community will be getting some decent representation.  Looks like things will be getting quite interesting on the Fox programming schedule next fall.
