We've got a runner! According to Variety, The J.J. Abrams-created, Warner Bros.-produced, Fox-aired spooker Fringe is moving. To Vancouver. The show started out in Toronto, but moved to Long Island, New York to take advantage of huge tax incentives. With an alleged $4 million per episode budget, every little bit helps.
Unfortunately, the tax credit ran out. Between the economy and the exchange rate, the company just couldn't afford to shoot in Long Island. Should the show get picked up for a second season (outlook: promising), Fringe will have even more in common with its creepy TV brethren The X-Files.
