'Ghost Trek' Brings Haunted Hilarity to Web October 8

Dread Central’s Ghost Trek, a horror-comedy send-up of ghost hunter shows, premieres online on Monday October 8 with the pilot episode The Kinsey Report and a curious lineup of "stars" including  Gia Allemand (The Bachelor, Bachelor Pad), Brett Gentile (Seeking Justice, Cold Storage), Jonny Fairplay (Survivor), Christy Johnson (Tobe Hooper's Mortuary), Addy Miller (“Little Zombie Girl" from The Walking Dead),  Julia Bullock (X-Factor Season 2), and legendary wrestlers, Disco Inferno and Colt Cabana (TNA, WWE, Ring of Honor).  It will play in four parts, for consecutive Mondays, October 8-29.

Ghost Trek won the 2011 Corman Award for "Best Comedy" at Fright Night Film Fest. What’s it all about? Creator Michael Plumides explains:

"Ghost Trek is like Kolchak: The Night Stalker meets The Venture Bros. but in a reality TV setting. When I wrote Ghost Trek, I wanted the characters to be founded in paranormal reality TV, but I wanted the humor to appeal to a broad viewership, so I added some reality-style drama, and I wanted to incorporate not just ghosts, but monsters, aliens, and crypto-zoo creatures with really cool effects. I also wanted it to be silly. I think we pulled it all off on a minimal budget and it was a lot of fun."
