To all our LA based readers, here's a special Halloween treat for you! FEARnet friend, Badass Digest contributor & Horror Movie A Day's Brian Collins is hosting a very special screening of 'Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers' this Saturday night, October 26th at 11:59PM at the legendary New Beverly Cinema located at 7165 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles 90036. Here's your chance to see Michael Myers on the big screen this Halloween season and in glorious 35mm! In attendance for a special pre-screening Q & A and introduction will be screenwriter Daniel Farrends!
Lots of interesting tidbits about this particular entry in the 'Halloween' franchise. This marks one of the first feature film appearances of actor Paul Rudd ('Anchorman,' 'I Love You, Man') as Tommy Doyle! It also sadly became the final appearance of the late, great Donald Pleasence as Michael Myers' nemesis Dr. Sam Loomis. Tickets are only $8 bucks and are available via the Brown Paper Tickets website or at the door. If you're looking for a few more horror flicks to check out this weekend, on a separate bill earlier that evening, the New Beverly is screening 'He Knows You're Alone' (featuring a very young Tom Hanks!) and the underrated 'Psycho II.'
UPDATE: It's just been announced via Facebook that this will actually be a 35mm print of the infamous "Producer's Cut"! This hasn't shown on the big screen since the original test screenings some 17 years ago! So this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Plan accordingly to attend, fiends!
