We can now confirm that Season 2 of FEARnet's original series Holliston, the first sitcom made by and for horror fans, is on track and will begin airing soon. In fact, Season 1 was such a hit that a new season was greenlit after just two episodes had aired. There will be ten episodes this time (up by four from last year), and the first will air on Tuesday, June 4th at 10PM Eastern/7PM Pacific as part of FEARnet's Twisted Comedy Block.
And there's more... for the benefit of those who miss a Tuesday night airing, the same episode will now be available to stream each Thursday here on FEARnet.com, beginning Thursday, June 6th. Each encore streaming episode will be viewable for a full week. You can also catch up on episodes on FEARnet On Demand every Wednesday after each new episode premieres.
Holliston stars and real-life horror directors Adam Green (whose splatter sequel Hatchet III hits theaters in June) and Joe Lynch (Knights of Badassdom) will be returning for more sitcom-style misadventures in the insane world of horror filmmaking; Laura Ortiz, Corri English and Dave Brockie (better known as Oderus Urungus of GWAR) will also return. Tons of genre names will put in guest appearances this season – including Bill Moseley and Sid Haig (The Devil's Rejects), Kane Hodder (also returning in Green's Hatchet III), David Naughton (An American Werewolf in London), Danielle Harris (Halloween IV and V, also back in Hatchet III), Bailee Madison (Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark), and writer/director James Gunn (Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy).
Series 2 highlights will include Holliston's first animated episode, in which the town is attacked by a giant blob; a Ringu-inspired J-horror episode; a “found footage” episode; and a one-hour season finale featuring two musical performances and a shocking finale.
Stay tuned for more Holliston news!
