I'm not sure who decided it was a good idea, but sometime in the last few years, our favorite slasher icons have become sex symbols. Female sex symbols, that is.
We've all seen the Halloween costumes of sexy female versions of (A Nightmare on Elm Street) Freddy, (Friday the 13th) Jason, (Halloween) Michael Myers and even (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre) Leatherface, and it's becoming increasingly popular for female horror fans to cosplay as their favorite male horror icons. I'm honestly not even sure how I feel about it, but confusing is a word that comes to mind, when I find myself turned on by a razor glove, burnt skin and a dirty old Christmas sweater.
Popular Japanese collectibles company Kotobukiya is getting in on the sexy villains fun with these two new statues, which they just teased over on their Facebook page. This is a concept image for the upcoming statues, which are the first two in a line dubbed the Bishoujo Horror Series - Bishoujo being a Japanese term used to describe pretty young girls. No word yet on when they'll be released, but the actual statues are expected to be shown off at Toy Fair, which kicks off next weekend.
Certainly the most unique Freddy and Jason collectibles we've seen over the years, to say the least.
