Metal Gods Judas Priest – still touring their leather-and-spike-covered asses off since last summer’s release of their concept album Nostradamus, their subsequent “Priest Feast” tour with Megadeth and Testament, and the 30th anniversary British Steel promo tour – just announced on their official site that they will soon be releasing a live album featuring material from those and previous shows. Not much has been revealed yet, but we’ll give you a hint of what’s to come – and more Priest USA tour info – after the jump!
The band announced yesterday that the new album, now officially titled Judas Priest: A Touch of Evil – Live, will feature eleven tracks, recorded at shows dating between 2005 and 2008. None of the included songs have been previously released in live form from any of those tours. The band promises more details to be posted their site soon, but did indicate that the album will be released sometime in July.
Priest will be launching a new USA tour this summer, beginning June 29th in Indianapolis, and continuing through August 23rd… and those of you who can still fit into your zebra-print spandex will be delighted to hear that most of those venues will feature Whitesnake as the opener.
