Thousands of volunteers have signed up to help stage the all-day event, which will begin with a call to Miles from the police commissioner, after which he will be escorted to the Batmobile to pursue some of Gotham City's most notorious villains.

Our young hero will be able to rescue a damsel tied to the cable-car tracks, stop a bank robbery orchestrated by the Riddler, and thwart a kidnapping perpetrated by the Penguin. All action will be staged in public view, so spectators can cheer for Miles as he saves the city. The day will conclude with “Batkid” being awarded the key to the city by SF Mayor Ed Lee.

More details of the adventure will be released soon via the Bay Area Make-A-Wish website – including info on how you can help!
