Michael Myers Returns to Video Games in New 'Call of Duty' Add-On Pack

Michael Myers Call of Duty

It's hard not to wonder why more horror movies haven't been turned into video games over the years, especially when it comes to the iconic slasher franchises.  While films like Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street were given their own video games back in the 1980s - which are needless to say quite dated nowadays - we've still to this day never been given the chance to play as characters like Michael Myers, Leatherface, Jason and Freddy, on more updated consoles.  Thanks to a new Call of Duty DLC (downloadable content) expansion pack, however, Michael Myers returns to the world of video games, for the first time since 1983!

The latest game in the popular franchise, titled Call of Duty: Ghosts, was released at the tail end of last year, and the upcoming DLC pack that's available later this month features a map called 'Fog,' which allows you to do battle in an environment plucked straight out of a horror flick - the titular fog fills the screen, and a run-down cabin in the woods makes for the perfect hunting spot.  The most exciting thing about the map is that once you complete a mission, you get to play as Michael Myers, your gun being replaced with a bloody axe, and the music in the game being switched over to an iconic theme that's sure to put a smile on your face.

Check out the video below, which explains the map and shows Myers in action.  And look for the new DLC expansion on January 28th!
