Today has been a popular day for exorcism movie news. Beware the Night has just added Olivia Munn, Eric Bana, and Edgar Ramirez to the cast.
Beware the Night follows an Irish Catholic cop who, despite his personal beliefs, teams up with a renegade priest who believes there are demonic forces at work on the cop's case.
Eric Bana (Star Trek, Hulk) stars as the cop; Edgar Ramirez (Wrath of the Titans, The Bourne Ultimatum) plays the priest; Olivia Munn (Iron Man 2, The Newsroom) plays the wife of the cop, who "also has a connection with the case." Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) is directing a script he co-wrote with Paul Boardman (Devil's Knot).
“Beware The Night is a project we’ve been developing for many years, confident that a story which combines the paranormal with a gritty New York City police story is both original and strongly appealing to audiences,” says Jerry Bruckheimer, who is producing the film. The studio, Screen Gems, is hoping that Beware the Night will launch a new franchise.
