Jason Blum, producer behind such scares as Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and Sinister is bringing the scares to real life. Blum's Blumhouse Productions is creating their own haunted house attraction for the Halloween season.
Located in Downtown Los Angeles, the Blumhouse of Horrors sends visitors on a tour through an old vaudeville theater, once home to a deranged dark arts magician. A horrible accident closed the theater and it has been haunted ever since.
The attraction will feature over 40 actors and feature "terrifying sights, sounds, and smells." That last one - smells - scares me more than anything else. It will be open Thursdays through Sundays beginning October 4th, then every day the week of Halloween. Special lights-on walk-throughs will be offered on select days for young children or scaredy cat adults. Tickets start at $29.
