R.I.P. Actor Michael Clarke Duncan

up
54

Oscar-nominated actor Michael Clarke Duncan died at age 54. Best known for his role as a convict with the power to heal in The Green Mile (for which he got his Oscar nod), Duncan was known as a "gentle giant" but often played thuggish roles due to his large size and deep voice.

Duncan was often seen in genre and comic book films, such as Sin City, The Scorpion King, Daredevil, and Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes.

Back in July, Duncan was hospitalized after a heart attack, which his longtime manager, Dan Spilo, said he never fully recovered from.

seriously, this man had a lot of talent to play many different roles. show business has lost a real actor with a real range of skill. that's something you can't find easily these days.
