Our friends over at Shock Till You Drop have entered into a multi-year distribution deal with The Orchard to acquire and distribute new horror films. The two companies will join forces, bringing The Orchard's global distribution network and Shock's expertise in genre to major digital distribution platforms, including iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, the Playstation Network, cable VOD, and even old-skool DVD formats.
The first four films picked up by the team are: Missionary, directed by Anthony DiBlasi (Dread), starring Dawn Olivieri, Mitch Ryan, and Kip Pardue; The Complex, a new film from Hideo Nakata the director of Ringu, The Ring Two and other critically-acclaimed and award-winning films; and two new thrillers from Continental Media - Solo, starring Annie Clark, Daniel Kash and Richard Clarkin, and Bela Kiss based on the famous true story of a Hungarian serial killer.
Shock's YouTube channel is also part of the deal. Their commentaries and reviews can now be found as part of the Orchard network, with channels on Hulu and Xbox.
