Telltale Developing a 'The Walking Dead' Video Game

Rumors have been swirling around the internet for a little while now that Telltale Games, who have crafted titles based off of everything from Back to the Future to the loud-mouthed luchador Strong Bad, would be dipping their toes into a new property “from the TV and comic book world whose popularity is changing life as some know it."  Everyone assumed that they were referring to AMC’s runaway hit adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead…well, they were right!  More after the break!

According to the fine folks over at Kotaku, Telltale’s dance card is absolutely packed, as not only do they have The Walking Dead to work on, but they also signed with WB Games to develop a game based off of the wildly popular Vertigo title Fables.  Mix that up with their currently-running Back to the Future series and another upcoming episodic title based off of Jurassic Park, and you’ve got a company that can hopefully overcome the stigma of licensed titles.

Me, I’ll be happy if they forego a photorealistic look for a gritty black-and-white vibe based off Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard’s art from the comic.
