A Very Happy Halloween for 'American Horror Story'

FX has renewed their newest series, American Horror Story, for a second season. Just four episodes into the series, the announcement comes on Halloween. Fitting, for one of television's weirdest and creepiest shows. So far, the series is averaging 4.2 million viewers per first-run showing, and is currently on track to be the highest-rated first season of any FX series. More after the break.

American Horror Story follows Ben and Vivien (Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton) as they relocate across the country in an attempt to leave tragedy and betrayal behind, and start their lives anew. Of course, that doesn't happen, for the house they buy is haunted by the dozens who were murdered there in the last century. The series is awash in sex, violence, and general weirdness, guaranteeing it a place on my DVR.
