The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that NBC has officially ordered a pilot for the hourlong show Day One.  Created by Heroes writer/producer Jesse Alexander, Day One follows a small group of survivors after a "global catastrophe" basically wipes out the majority of the planet.

Hmm... Sounds like The Omega Man meets Jericho.  But would it be too much to ask for a smidge of The Day After Tomorrow wackiness thrown in?  Sounds like this one could be really rockin' (the Omega Man part), or really boring (the Jericho part).
