Who Wants 'Invader Zim' LEGOs?

In 2001, Invader Zim invaded Nickelodeon. A dark, weird, twisted tale of mad scientists and alien invaders from comic artist Jhonen Vasquez (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac) didn't last too long on the kids network, but it lives forever in my heart. And maybe - just maybe - on my coffee table.

LEGO Cuusoo, the crowd sourced LEGO site, has a full Invader Zim concept that could become real. Like all submissions on the Cuusoo site, it is a fan-created design that, if it gets enough votes, goes to review by the LEGO bigwigs and might just become an actual set you can purchase.

The Invader Zim set, as imagined by user buggyirk, would feature Zim's home base, complete with little details like lawn gnomes, an "I heart Earth!" sign, a green monkey painting, and a flying pig bonus accessory - all things that die-hard fans will recognize. The set would also include the Voot spaceship, which can dock inside the house's opening roof, and four minifigs: Zim, Dib, Gir, and Gir in dog costume. As envisioned, the set would be about 930 pieces.

Horror fans are also LEGO fans, who have created everything from an Alien facehugger to the iconic Psycho house. So let's rally and make this Zim set happen!
