'The Woman in Black' Poised To Make a Return

The Woman in Black, Hammer's latest ghost story, is getting a sequel. Sort of. The Woman in Black is the highest-grossing British film in 20 years, topping out at over $100 million worldwide, so it makes sense to continue the story. We've got the details after the jump.

Hammer, Alliance Films, and Cross Creek Pictures are currently in development on The Woman in Black: Angels of Death. The press release states that this is not a sequel, but the next "installment" of The Woman in Black story. Angels of Death will be set 40 years after the first film, so it is a safe bet that Daniel Radcliffe won't return. Jon Croker, who was a story editor on The Woman in Black is working on the script, which is based on a story by author Susan Hill, who wrote the original novel the first film was based on. According to the press release, Angels of Death "will continue this story four decades later and focus on the concept of a couple and the experience they have when they encounter the haunted setting of Eel Marsh House."
