Big news out of Comic-Con this morning.  The film adaptation of Max Brooks's World War Z gets a big-name star... hit the jump to find out who.

Brad Pitt will star in World War Z.  His company, Plan B, is producing the zombie film, so it seems a natural fit.  Brooks announced the casting this morning at Comic-Con, mere hours after he found out at a book signing Wednesday night.

World War Z, which has been in development since 2007, follows a group who survived the zombie war.  Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace) will direct.
