I knew the Dickies’ Killer Klowns from Outer Space themesong before I had ever seen Stephen Chiodo’s movie. The lyrics pretty much sum it up. They are adorably evil clowns from outer space hell bent on destroying the human race with the help of their killer cotton candy cocoons.

Right off the bat I'm tempted to give Outpost: Black Sun a break because of one simple reason: it offers a potentially ridiculous premise, but it does so with a grim tone and an admirably straight face.
