I know that the vampire genre is being made into a romance genre about a vampire trying to live an ordinary life bringing me to having mixed feelings about true blood it bores me nothing is in the series to really get me excited about it like my favorite supernatural all tho Jason Stack house is my favorite character it lacks suspence,thrill,adventure and scary parts also the battle with marrian should have been more compelling and had a better end i hope they make it better by season 3 but i have little hope

I like True Blood, I have read the first book and it was fun to read but didn't really make me want to read the others. My only real problems with the series is that it is very reminiscient (spelling anyone?) of another series of books by Laurel K. Hamilton, and that Anna Paquin's character is just annoying and I would very much like to trip her.
True Blood
Haven't read any of the books, but the series is great! As soon as I saw the intro/promos for the series OnDemand and the 1st episode, I was hooked. Now I'm not much into the new horror tv shows, but I gave this one a chance. And what do you know, I got hooked. True Blood has a unique sence of style and flaire. I'm not really into drama, but this show has just enough for me. Can't wait for season 3!

My fiance bought me the True Blood drink from the show. He picked up the four pack thinking it was just six dollars or something. It was TWENTY FIVE!!!! The drink isn't even FDA approved. Hey, well it shows how much he loves me. And I can say, "Hey, look at my four pack that costs twenty five bucks. Don't drink it, it's not FDA approved."

Now that I'm actually seeing this thread, I will chime in with this. I was HIGHLY disappointed in True Blood, mostly because I read the series years before the show was made and it's COMPLETELY different from what the author originally wrote. I understand taking creative liberties to try and spice up a story line, but there was no need to and what they did to it sucked in comparison to the original story.
So there. That's my opinion.

i have to be honest that the only reason i watched it was because i heard ANNA PAQUINN gets naked .. and she didnt not in that episode atleast ... seriously i didnt love or hate it .. i thought the young blk girl cursing out the customer in the department store was funny ... but then it seemed like the girl wanted to hook up with the vamp she saved .. and that kinda turned me off .. so i cant say that love or hate it

Hate It! I wont lie, when it first started i thought it was great, it was fresh and new but i truly got turnrd off by sookie for one because she just couldnt make up her mind and if she wanted bill or sam, and she kept turning her back on them both. That was super lame to me, although oddly realistic,lol. Another reason is i just hate tera and her fucked up fake southern accent. It is so weak and very painful for me to listen to, also she thinks she is super tough like nothing can stop her. i cant stand that broad. If not for those 2 things i would be a fan

I like the series but not exactly for the vamps. I love the different characters. They are all flawed and often funny and portrayed incredibly well. The guy playing Lafayette should get an award. . . . unless thats REALLY him, lol. He brings a very unique character to lif
e. Dont care much for Bill, agree with being tired of him whispering "sooKay" all the time, I absolutely cant stand the tough one minute, scared the next, bitchin all the time, dumbass barmaid. They should def have her taken out. I also hate that the werewolves are the LAMEST FRIKKEN WEREWOLVES I have EVER seen. Except for humans, they cant seem to fight for shit. The two blond vamps from the club are great. Its a good ensemble and the supernatural stuff is just an add on. Love the bar in the bayou, LOL. Would make a GREAT biker bar.

how can you NOT love it???? i usually turn away from anything that has vamps in it but i watched one episode in season 2, got hooked, then went and rented the ones i hadn't seen yet. another 2 pointer for HBO!

While I began watching the show because I am a vamp fan, my favorite character has become, oddly enough, Lafayette. I love him. Eric is great too . . . a hot, sexy European vamp . . . but Lafayette is by far the most entertaining of all the characters, IMO.
