I've been reading a lot of type and have seen some pictures from Cannibal Holocaust..I watched it for the first time today..This didn't disrtub me in a Horror sense or because it's to graphic..I've butchered animals on the farm and cut throats to finish off a wounded animal before..nope that didn't bother me or the thought of little people running around catching other little people and eating them..thats there culture..there way of life..That picture that everybody so prodly shows off of the Girl who has been impaled on that pole and says looky this..do any of you who have been showing that picture know why she's there..Well i'm gonna dam well tell ya.if anybody ever comes into my home and shoots my pig..being thats what I got to feed my family..sets fire to my home..shoots one of my family members..and if you even have the balls enough and 3 of you are adult men ..rape my little girl..that being the reason the girl was impaled because 3 low life adult males raped her and the culture she is from prize virtue of their little girls as a top priority..maybe your little girls and women in your life don't have a real meaning to you..mine sure the hell do to me and my culture...I have never wanted 4 people to be killed as much as I did during this movie before..and i'll be dammed..I got my way..the 4 got themslves killed and ate..What really gets me is that was banned in a lot of country's..and not because of the rape or the little animals been killed live..but I know and I think you know..it was because the civilized people got killed and ate so brutaly..this movie pisses me off..well to each their own..and i'm never watching this piece of shit again..had to take a blood pressure pill after and type this..my pressure has gone down now..thanks for reading and letting me cuss this movie.....Joe

In those days all Italian directors wanted to do was SHOCK and make a quick buck. They would travel all over trying to look for bizarre shit to film, thats why the animal scenes in this movie. The movie IS junk. It just somehow became an example of a certain KIND of movie, like MONDO CANE ( pronounced KA-NAY ).

From all the comments that I've read here this is one movie that I WILL NOT WATCH EVER!!!! YOU DO NOT NEED TO TORTURE ANIMALS OR RAPE LITTLE GIRLS to make a movie. Glad those 3 assholes got what they deserved.

YES WE EUROPEANS ARE MAD AND OUR FILMS SOMETIMES OFFEND OTHERS, BUT HEY MY FRIENDS THATS LIFE. REMEMBER ITS EUROPE A VAST LAND OF INDEPENDENT COUNTRYS WITH DIFFERENT IDEALS ABOUT TASTE, DECENCY AND WHAT MAKES GOOD CINEMA.
CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST IS A SHITE SHOCK MOVIE NOT WORTH THE MONEY IT WAS MADE WITH, BUT THAT DOESN'T STOP SOME ONE FROM MAKING CRAP LIKE THIS ( IN ANY GENRE).
PERSONALLY I THINK THE WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME IS HOME ALONE ( OH NO CONTROVERSY FROM ACROSS THE POND AGAIN) IT PORTRAYS THE SOME SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS IDEAS OF VIOLENCE FOR KIDS TO SEE AT THE PRETENSE OF FUN AND FRIVOLITY, IT CAN BE SEEN IN A CERTAIN WAY AS MORE HORRIFIC THEN ANY BLOOD SPATTER FILM.

I understand what you are talking about del in that the "gags" in home alone are actually pretty violent in life. As you said, everyones culture is different. Americans grew up with violent sight gags since CHARLIE CHAPLIN, ON TO LAUREL AND HARDY and the THREE STOOGES. Our best Cartoons then BUGS BUNNY was full of sight gag violence. But as funny as it sounds, Bugs isnt shown much because know it all psychologists said the cartoon violence wasnt good for children, yet its a fact that kids and the generation before them are FAR MORE violent. WITHOUT having even seen these old shows and cartoons. It all boils down to responsibility and upbringing.
However, different cultures or not. I cant see Any culture condoning the torturous death of living creatures for a movie. They could have used effects. I DO HATE peta. I AM a hunter. Doesnt make torture something I care for. This is something that we could ALL discuss all day long. Youre NOT wrong del, Im just making an observation. Not defending HOME ALONE either, in a way, just the concepts.

Here's one for you..Methylprednisolone..6 times a day for 30 days..when on it..it's like having 1000's of ants and spiders crawling inside and out of you..rage and anger and anxiety are 10X what they normally are..wife went to her family for that month so here I was..could'nt sleep and watching movies around the clock and typing on Fearnet..and what do I do I watch Cannibal Holocaust..LMAO...one person told me to get over it..they can kiss my flat white ass..the movie was trash and meant to be what it was..shock..it did'nt work like that on me..nope it pissed me is all..so I won't watch crap movies when and if I have to do a regiment of those steriods again..and you won't have to read my rants again...oh and to each their own..Joe
